No matter how big or small, we are committed to making change today for a better tomorrow.

We recognise and accept our responsibility to transparently evolve our approach to help alter the course of climate change and commit to play our role in improving the social and environmental prospects for present and future generations.

Our Commitment

Although, in the scheme of our global market, our size, our influence and our voice may be small, we believe that large scale impact is achieved by every action, taken every day by each and everyone.

No one person, nor organisation, can singlehandedly be the difference required to shift the needle. This is the responsibility of us all.

Whilst we recognise we are at the beginning of our sustainability journey, we believe this simple, yet effective, approach aligns appropriately with our offering - sharpening our sustainability focus within our business, with our suppliers and our customers.

Our approach has been developed and adopted to align with our capability.

Our Key Priorities

We will strive to make the world more sustainable, for today and tomorrow, by aiming to have a positive impact on people and the planet, whilst enabling our customers to make more responsible choices and purchase decisions whilst attaining their own sustainability goals

Environment

Being so early in our sustainability journey, our focus is on initiatives which will deliver immediate benefit to our business, our customers and ultimately, our environment.

These include;

  • Packaging and transportation

  • Customer education

  • Sustainable products and services

  • Product circular economy

Social

We have a strong desire to improve the lives of people with whom we engage across diverse communities, ensuring we treat everyone with respect, kindness and empathy. Our initial focus is centred on support for;

  • Indigenous businesses and services

  • Women and gender-diverse jobseekers to become work-ready

  • Suppliers which adhere to the Modern Slavery Act

Governance

We are an ethically driven business, committed to achieving positive outcomes in an honest and transparent manner. Decisions and actions we undertake will consider  risk, conflict and stewardship and periodically report progress on our journey including;

  • Ethical sourcing

  • Social initiatives and outcomes

  • Sustainability actions and benefits

Expanding on our Approach

Change

Challenge the Status Quo

Remaining stagnant is not in our DNA.

Questioning and challenging the norm sits comfortable with us. However, in the past, our evolution has focussed on business process and practise.

Our future focus will challenge our environmental and social impact, seeking products, methods, suppliers and partners which offer our business and our customers a choice. A choice to reduce waste and reduce our environment impact, a choice to include indigenous owned products and services, and a choice to support organisations which help bridge societal gaps, whether that be economic, social or situational.

Challenging the status quo excites us. It brings opportunity for us all to grow. It brings opportunity for us all to improve. It brings opportunity to make a difference. Time to embrace the difference!

Adjust the Imbalance

In business, the attribution of financial impact on the decisions we make is common practise, yet the environmental cost has infrequently been a consideration.

It is time we shift the needle and place more emphasis on improving and protecting our people, our community and our surroundings, and less on the financial impact. This is not to say we disregard sound financial practise or ethical and moral conscience, more we adjust the imbalance in our decision-making process in consideration of aspects other than dollars and cents.

We are conscious of the need to not only adjust the imbalance within our business, but to assist our customers make the change by reducing the use of environmentally damaging products.

The industry in which we operate is forging the path with sustainable product and practises. From organic cottons and recycled fabrics, to the use of renewable energy and reduction in emissions in manufacturing and distribution, or the empowerment of the Modern Slavery Act.

We have the means and the choice. Now the decision is ours.

Circular

Inclusive Sustainability

Considerable focus and effort is being committed globally to improving sustainability within the fashion industry. Whilst Australia is behind the rest of the world in regard to enforcing change through governmental influence and legislation, there are independent organisations forging pathways within the sector for the benefit of our local industry, and more importantly, our social and environmental conscience.

We are partnering with these organisations. Expanding our sustainability profile should include, not only the adoption and promotion of indigenous and environmentally friendly products and services, but also the consideration of the reusability of the products we offer.

We are at the forefront of change with the opportunity to positively expand our environmental and social impact and close the gap on a circular economy which today, through the use of technological advances, includes the recycling of materials for use in new garments and other non-wearable goods, as well as the recycling and distribution of garments through social enterprises, formed to assist the less fortunate within our society.

This regenerative movement will continue to expand, just as our involvement will continue to develop in line with our own sustainability conscience, through our customers' needs and the expectations of the wider community.

Spread the News

Engaging communication improves our knowledge and understanding of the incredible work being undertaken daily across the world to reduce our mark on our planet and positively improve the communities in which we live and work.

We accept our responsibility to inform our people and our customers on the developments both within and external to our business and where possible, support and implement change for a better future.

We commit to track and report our progress ethically and periodically whilst being a source our customers can rely upon for a range of environmental and positive social initiatives.
